Afghan Box Camera // Kamra-e-faoree

PHOTO-BOX Ibiza is a homemade camera that has

an inbuild black and white printing darkroom.

Inspired by the Kamra E Faoree, the Afghan

Box Camera which have been used for decades

in Kabul’s streets to make ID portraits.

Unfortunately this technique is nowadays

almost gone.This camera allows me to create

black and white portraits instantly, in the

process we make first a paper negative then

we can create the positive copy in just a few

minutes. The entire process takes place within

the camera.
